How the stucco material coverage calculator works
Geometric litres = net square metres × thickness in millimetres per coat × number of equal-thickness coats. Square metres multiplied by millimetres gives litres. All coats use the same entered product; run a separate estimate for a different product or thickness.
Required litres add the entered allowance once. Whole bags = ceil(required litres ÷ mixed litres per bag). Bag yield must be positive. Cost is whole bags × quoted bag price, rounded half-up to cents. Zero area or thickness means zero calculated purchase.
The manufacturer’s example yield is approximate and product-specific. Texture, uneven substrate, mixing and application can change coverage. This calculator does not specify coat thickness, product suitability, lath, reinforcement, curing or code compliance. It estimates geometric material volume rather than guaranteeing finished coverage.
Worked example
50 m² at an entered 10 mm thickness for one coat is 500 L. A 10% allowance gives 550 L. At an illustrative 21 L mixed yield per bag, 26.190 bags rounds to 27. At 9/bag, cost is 243. A 20 mm entered thickness instead gives 1,100 L after allowance, 53 bags and 477.
