How the order contribution after fulfillment calculator works
The tool represents one order with at least one unit. Discount applies only to goods: units × selling price × (1 − discount percent). Net goods round to cents and charged shipping is then added. Taxes are excluded from the collected amount and from the fee base in this reduced model.
Product cost is units × entered unit cost, rounded once. Payment fees are collected amount × entered fee percentage plus the entered fixed fee, rounded once. Product cost, pick-and-pack, paid shipping and fees are deducted to find contribution. The margin divides contribution by collected revenue and is undefined when that denominator is zero.
Use net contract rates and comparable cost definitions. Unentered advertising, overhead, returns, duties and tax effects are excluded. A fixed fee remains charged even on a zero-value order if it is entered, so set that amount to match the intended scenario. Negative order contribution is retained rather than treated as a pricing recommendation.
Worked example
Three units at 50 less 10% discount produce 135 in net goods. Add 10 charged shipping for 145 collected. Product cost is 60, pick-and-pack 4, paid shipping 12 and payment fees at 2.9% plus 0.30 round to 4.51. Contribution is 145 − 60 − 4 − 12 − 4.51 = 64.49. Increasing paid shipping to 20 reduces it to 56.49.
