How the oil & gas production value scenario calculator works
Oil value is petroleum barrels × the matching entered price per barrel. Gas value is cubic metres × a price for the same gas volume conditions. Each component rounds to cents before combined gross value is found. Both quantities refer to one common period; there is no automatic daily-to-monthly or energy-equivalent conversion.
The entered proportional deduction applies to combined gross value and rounds separately to cents. The fixed deduction is then subtracted. A negative net result remains visible when stated deductions exceed gross value. The deduction inputs are commercial scenario amounts rather than inferred statutory or ownership rules.
No current oil or gas price, royalty, severance tax, working interest, net-revenue interest, reserves, custody-transfer standardization or investment value is calculated. Gas reference conditions and product quality must already match the price. This is arithmetic from supplied values rather than a production forecast.
Worked example
Oil volume 100 barrels at 70 gives 7,000. Gas volume 1,000 m³ at 0.20 gives 200, so gross value is 7,200. An entered 5% deduction is 360; less another 100 fixed deductions leaves 6,740. At oil price 80, gross value becomes 8,200 and net stated value becomes 7,690.
