How the wheel loader productivity calculator works
Volume per cycle equals bucket volume times fill fraction. Cycles per hour equal 60 divided by active cycle minutes. Multiply by one operating-efficiency factor for delays excluded from that active cycle.
Same-state loose bulk density converts loose volume per hour to metric tonnes per hour. Do not apply a delay factor already reflected in the observed cycle.
This is output arithmetic, not rated payload, tipping load, lift capacity, bucket suitability, travel safety or a guarantee of site productivity. Enter observed, qualified parameters rather than treating the defaults as machine settings.
Worked example
A 3-m³ bucket at 90% fill carries 2.7 loose m³. At a 0.5-minute active cycle and 80% operating efficiency, output is 259.2 m³/h or 414.72 t/h at 1.6 t/m³. A one-minute cycle yields 129.6 m³/h.
